End to User Accounts on Health Intuitives

Recent hacks and exposures of user account information on an assortment of websites around the world, got us thinking about why Health Intuitives has user accounts, and what we store the data for.

Considering browsers now can save the name and address information and other useful form inputs, then the usual website mantra of creating an account to save the customer details becomes a moot point, and just another vector for unscrupulous actors to get hold of it.

Together with the fact that the registration forms on sites based on WordPress (as this site is) are sources of attacks via email and more indirect means, we have decided that turning off registration on our site would have a more positive impact than trying to add all of the anti-spam/ anti-hack measures that would be required up and running.

We have not, at this stage, disabled logins. So if you already have an account, you can keep using it. We may revisit that in the future though if we have any issues with it.

Change to Delivery Schedule

Our delivery schedule for a long time has been daily, with some exceptions at times due to illness or holidays. Unfortunately, due to the increase in community transferal of COVID-19 in our area, we have decided to limit our exposure to the outside world (We have elderly and immuno-compromised people living with us).

In light of this, our deliveries will happen on Tuesdays and Fridays until further notice. Orders made before 10am Perth time (12pm Sydney or 1pm during daylight savings) on the shipping days will be included in the shipment.

We have updated our Shipping Policy to reflect these changes.

In the mean time please stay healthy and active, and care for your friends, family and community.

New site

Health Intuitives has been a thing since before 2007, and the old site was showing it’s age. Coded from before mobile internet was really something to worry about, our site didn’t really work well on mobile or tablet form, so we have finally bit the bullet and redone the site in a more mobile friendly way, that still works well for desktop. All your favourite products are still here, from Curaderm to Oxypowder, but in a cleaner, fresher look. We hope you like it!

This site gives us a platform that is faster for you to use, and easier behind the scenes so we can get the products to you sooner. We may also have some more time to do other things, like find some interesting things on the net to share. We will be using this blog to show you some of the amazing products that we find, to give you more options in your wellness journey.

Curaderm BEC5 Reunification Procedure

Sometimes the product can become separated into liquid if it has been heat stressed during transit. Normally it is best to keep Curaderm in the fridge but during transit this is often not possible. The efficacy of the active ingredient is not affected by heat but the product needs to be re-constituted so the active ingredient is evenly spread through the formula for the cream to be effective.

Here is the procedure to fix up the bottle that has separated into liquid due to high heat temperature –

  1. Place the bottle in hot water at 60 degrees Celcius until the entire product turns into liquid and separates completely. It will have the texture of water.
  2. Shake vigorously 20 – 30 times so all the ingredients blend together.
  3. Place the mixed formula into the ice chest/freezer for 15 minutes until the product resembles a cream.

The above process will ensure the active ingredient spreads throughout the formula.
